Ukrainisches Iwan-Franko Zentrum fur Kultur und Bildung

Relationship with Hotel: Park Hyatt Vienna and Ukrainisches Iwan commenced working together when Ukrainian refugees began to arrive in Vienna. The hotel supported fundraisers for the school and is now looking for ways to support students interested in hospitality careers.

NGO mission: Since the war between Russia and Ukraine began in early 2022, the Ukrainian School in Vienna has accepted more than 700 refugee children and is working to ensure their learning continues.

Grant purpose:
Of the 700 newly arrived Ukrainian refugee students, 150 are aged 15-17. Having had to leave their homes due to the current war, the Ukrainian School in Vienna is working to ensure that their transition to higher education or employment is not hampered by their refugee status.

Hyatt Community Grant funded by Hyatt will enable 75 of the youth to receive English and German courses and basic hospitality training (inclusive of on-the-job training in a luxury hotel in Vienna). Through the hospitality training, students will gain the knowledge and skills they need to grow and thrive within the hospitality sector.
